TheRole: The firm is now looking for a highly skilled and experiencedindividual to lead its Residential Conveyancing Department. Thesuccessful candidate will oversee all aspects of the department,ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to clients whilemanaging a team of lawyers and support staff. This is a senior rolethat requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge ofresidential property law, and a strategic mindset to drive thecontinued success and growth of the department. KeyResponsibilities: 1. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage theResidential Conveyancing Department, providing clear direction,mentoring, and support to a team of lawyers and support staff.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promotingprofessional growth and ensuring efficient department operations.Serve as the SRO for the CQS accreditation and oversee the annualre-accreditation process. Work with the firm’s management team toalign departmental goals with the broader strategic vision of thefirm. 2. Client Services: Ensure the team delivers high-qualityservice to clients, handling complex and high-value residentialproperty transactions. Maintain and enhance client relationships,providing expert legal advice and guidance throughout theconveyancing process. Ensure compliance with all relevantregulations and best practices to maintain the firm’s excellentreputation. 3. Business Development: Drive the growth of theResidential Conveyancing Department by identifying and pursuing newbusiness opportunities. Develop and implement effective marketingstrategies to promote the department’s services and attract newclients. Build and maintain strong relationships with externalstakeholders, including estate agents, mortgage brokers, and otherprofessionals in the property industry. Represent the firm atnetworking events, seminars, and conferences to raise thedepartment’s profile. 4. Operational Efficiency: Oversee theefficient management of caseloads, workflows, and departmentalKPIs. Implement technology and software solutions to streamlineprocesses and improve overall departmental efficiency. Skills &Experience: 1. A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years ofexperience in residential conveyancing. 2. Proven track record in asenior role. 3. In-depth knowledge of residential property law andconveyancing procedures. 4. Strong leadership and managementskills, with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performingteam. 5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, withthe ability to build strong relationships with clients and externalstakeholders. 6.
