Senior Liability Claims Adjuster (Casualty)

Salary: Up to £61,000 per year plus benefits

Location: Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Northeast England

Rota: Monday - Friday

Hours: 9am - 5pm | 35 Hours per week

Term: Full Time / Permanent

Work style: Remote role

UK Residents only (Full right to work) with UK experience will be considered

Our client is proud to be recruiting Liability Claims Adjuster (Casualty) for their national and Insurance client based in Northeast England (Travel within this area is necessary).

The ideal candidates for consideration will be from a liability insurance claims background, as well as candidates with transferable personal injury or casualty insurance claims experience.

Role outline:

The role would be suited to an experienced Claims Handler / Investigator who specialises in casualty claims and who can demonstrate experience within liability insurance claims handling.

The role of the Liability Adjuster is to efficiently handle Employers Liability and Public Liability (EL & PL) claims for both personal injury (casualty) and third-party property damage. Experience of the legal jurisdiction of Scotland is essential as would experience in other areas of claim's handling.

The successful candidate will manage an allocated caseload, completing enquires in relation to policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum, reporting to clients and ensuring that claims are handled proactively in accordance with the handling philosophy of Casualty Claims Solutions and their clients.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers
  • Investigation of allocated claims in the field or from the desk
  • Compilation of all necessary evidence and relevant documentation
  • Preparation of Preliminary Reports detailing the evidence available and commenting upon Policy Indemnity, Legal Liability, Quantum, and Tactics
  • Determine appropriate action for resolution of the case
  • Defend or negotiate settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits
  • Correspond with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion
  • Investigate and handle all cases in accordance with the client's requirements by referral to documented procedures at all times

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience handling EL (Employers Liability) and PL (Public Liability) claims
  • Experience handling casualty claims
  • End-to-End Claims Handling
  • Driving license and own car
