  • Oversee the development and upkeep of a world-class quantum computing facility.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of laboratories and office spaces.
  • Take a leading role in enhancing workplace experience by creating a welcoming and inspiring environment
  • Be the go-to-person for all day-to-day office and facility issues, ensuring the workplace remains tidy, comfortable and optimised to support our team's best work 
  • Coordinate building maintenance and ensure systems operate efficiently, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Manage lab and office services, including procurement and purchasing of essential supplies.
  • Establish and manage service contracts (e.g., technical services, cleaning, alarms, lift maintenance, and utilities).
  • Maintain and enhance workplace safety by supporting the implementation of health and safety protocols, such as fire safety, hazardous materials handling, and first aid training.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain safe laboratory environments, including monitoring compliance with best practices for handling gases and other laboratory materials
  • Proactively identify and address facility improvement opportunities, maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Ensure compliance with facility management best practices, including aspects of workplace safety, and adhere to relevant regulations.
  • Partner with internal teams to facilitate office moves, expansions, and other facility-related projects

  1. Proven experience in facility management with a track record of addressing challenges and delivering practical, effective solutions for complex systems and infrastructure
  2. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
