Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Location: Isle of Grain

Contract duration: 6-12 months - Inside IR35- Onsite

Belcan is currently looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector on a 6 month contract in Isle of Grain location.

Role:

As a Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector you will ensure at a Construction and Pre Commissioning level all Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Inspection as requested by the client - Projects performed by the Contractors, is in accordance with the design and technical specifications of the Contract

Primary Functions:

E&I Inspector ( Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector ) will Interface: Both On-site and off-site requirements meet project specific standards and specifications and ensure the Contractors are aligned with the technical specifications and enforce the HSE requirements. Attends Project meetings as required.
Electrical Inspector continually will review the on-site construction and pre-commissioning (as requested) activities of the Contractors to ensure that they are aligned with the technical specifications and the varying external technical interfaces.
Instrumentation Inspector will ensure compliance with the latest pre-commissioning procedures and drawings.
Trouble shooting: Solve on-site pre-commissioning problems during EPC phases.
On day to day Instrumentation Inspector will monitor and report the pre-commissioning activities and perform as directed by the Commissioning Manager, site inspections and tests, surveillances and Site Acceptance Tests, progress status, including field pre-commissioning inquiries for resolutions via Discipline Engineer. Provide support to Quality team for construction activities.
Upon Completion: E&I Inspector will sign pre-commissioning documentation as requested (within Limits of Authority).
Completion: Check as built documentation and records as requested by Commissioning Manager or Discipline Engineer.

Client support

Client shall provide leadership and be a role model to all others in the project site(s) with regards adherence to, HSE management system, HSE requirements in the Projects rules and regulations as well and all related regulatory authority requirements.
It shall also always take reasonable care for the safety and health of its personnel and all other persons at work affected by its acts throughout the execution of Projects.

Experience

E&I Technician will have experience in pre-commissioning in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and LNG Industry, use of Distributed Control System (DCS) and Completions Management System (CMS), focus on Instrumentation.
Electrical Inspector will have experience with Honeywell DCS, Wood GoTechnology (QEDI) CMS, Emerson Process instrumentation would be a bonus
Qualifications: CompEx - Ex01-Ex04 (Gas), City and Guilds, ONC/HNC, ATEX

Remuneration will reflect the technical nature of the role and the responsibility that it carries.
