We seek aDevice Simulation and Design Engineerto enhance our III-V semiconductor design capabilities. This role involvesautomated optical simulation,design development, andfabrication support. Key tasks include developingsimulation techniques(e.g., FDTD, FEM), optimizing structures viamachine learning and inverse design, and automatingdata analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhancesimulation toolsfor III-V photonic devices.
  • Providedocumentationand train team members on tool usage.
  • Collaborate withDesign, Fabrication, and Test teamsto ensure seamless integration.
  • Designexperimentsto assess process tolerances.
  • Contribute to thedesign and developmentof III-V photonic components.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ yearsin photonics (industry or academia) focusing on III-V photonic devices.
  • Expertise inoptoelectronic device physicsand simulation tools (FDTD, FEM, COMSOL, VPI).
  • Experience ininverse design methodologiesandPython programming.
  • Stronganalytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and manage multiple projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Publications/conference participationin the field.
  • Experience indevice characterizationand test data correlation.
  • Hands-onIII-V device design(waveguides, lasers, modulators, couplers).
  • Strongteamwork and cross-functional collaborationskills.
