Advanced Innovative Manufacturing (AIM) is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist 3/5 axis / CMM Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry-leading CNC milling, turning, and multi-axis machines. This role is critical to ensuring the precision and efficiency of our manufacturing processes, particularly in low-batch, high-mix production runs.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up the Mazak Variaxis i-500, Doosan DNM 6700 Fanuc-controlled, CNC Lathe DMG 2500/700 new with CELOS (MAPPS V) to produce component parts, from basic to complex, for low-batch, high-mix production runs.
  • Create or modify basic CNC programs using G & M code.
  • Operate machines according to the daily production plan to produce parts.
  • Perform self-inspections of repeat work using appropriate inspection tools.
  • Conduct regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on machinery.
  • Report production issues and defects to the Team Lead and production engineering team.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Monitor and document operational performance, providing feedback to the Team Lead.
  • Foster effective working relationships with peers and support teams.
  • Maintain quality standards by adhering to the quality management system.
  • Follow all company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) and compliance guidelines.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace by adhering to housekeeping, 5S, and FOD rules.


Professional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in operating various CNC milling and turning machinery.
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc or Mazatrol control systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of machine tooling and inspection measuring equipment (CMM QCT Quantum is a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality components.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and data.
  • Cad / Cam (Fusion / SolidWorks is a plus)


Hours and Environment

  • Thirty-eight hours a week, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch break).
  • Fridays, 7:30 am to 11:30 pm.
  • 22 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
