Business Development Manager (OPTICS/PHOTONICS)

- Bradford, West Yorkshire(CANDIDATES FOR THIS ROLE SHOULD BE EITHER BASED WITHIN COMMUTING DISTANCE OF BRADFORD, OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE AT SHORT NOTICE)A new vacancy for a Business Development Manager with specialist provider of technical products and services relating to electronic test & measurement. Based at the company's site in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling and supporting the the company's range of products & services, in a role that will involve developing business opportunities with both new and existing customers.Candidates for this Business Development Manager role should be qualified in an Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Physics or Technology discipline, with at least 2yrs experience in either a sales or technical support role. Candidates with experience in areas such as OPTICAL MEASUREMENT, PHOTONICS, FIBRE OPTICS or OPTOELECTRONICS will be of particular interest, although training can be provided in the company's range of products & services. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong technical aptitude combined with a proactive and creative approach to sales/business development work; he/she should also ideally have the potential to move into a more senior sales team/business management role in the short-to-medium term (in line with the company's succession plan strategy).
