IBM Quantum is looking for an Engagement Lead, Channel Partnerships who will be responsible for driving the growth and success of IBM by collaborating with IBM business partners to bring our technology to market. You will develop and execute strategies that will enable partners to scale sales and drive adoption of IBM Quantum’s technology. This position requires the ability to manage relationships at all organization levels, from operational teams to senior executives, ensuring that partners are equipped to market and sell our technology to their clients. The candidate must be adept at managing a high level of ambiguity and adapting quickly to changes in a high-paced, dynamic environment. Also, we expect the candidate to excel at execution in a complex, heavily matrixed environment that spans across organizational boundaries.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As the engagement lead for channel partnerships, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Define and deliver initiatives that enable our business partners to bring our technology to market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IBM business partners, quantum computing startups, HPC centers, and other key business partners across multiple geographies.
  • Serve as a quantum computing subject matter expert and trusted advisor to partners as they define their quantum vision and strategy.
  • Ensure consistent, transparent and timely communication across internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Act as a strong advocate for partner success, while maintaining accountability and alignment with IBM Quantum's growth objectives.
  • Facilitate partner enablement programs, providing training, resources, and support to help partners build technical skills and sell quantum offerings.
  • Serve as a strategic thought leader and support partners in speaking engagements at both IBM-led and partner-led events.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years experience in quantum computing, with a strong understanding of the IBM Quantum platform and technology roadmap.
  • 5+ years of client-facing experience in management or technology strategy consulting, bonus if experience working with IT resellers or similar business partners.
  • Comfortable with high level of ambiguity.
  • Excel at both strategy definition and subsequent execution.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Client and stakeholder management experience with a proven track record in influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Hands on experience with Quantum Computing with credentials (e.g. Qiskit Developer Certificate, Qiskit Advocate etc.)
  • Experience in top management consulting firms
  • Experience building and executing go-to-market strategies
