Electronics Calibration Technician

Experienced Electronics Calibration Technician urgently required to work for a world leading Aerospace and aviation organisation based near Slough. This is a key role to the business where you will undertake the repair, test and calibration of aviation ground test equipment, avionics test equipment and general-purpose test equipment. Operate within a dedicated calibration laboratory, ensuring accuracy and adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Utilize traceable and accredited calibration methods to maintain full compliance with UKAS regulations.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Test, repair and calibration of ground test equipment, including aircraft battery chargers, avionics test equipment and general-purpose test equipment
Complete the fault finding, repair, testing and calibration process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment.
Complete accurate records and ensure that they are filed in a timely manner.
Maintain the required level of quality and cost effectiveness, ensuring accuracy.
Undertake cross-training in other technical areas in line with requirements of the business.
Understand and utilise the Quantum system to ensure effective delivery.
Preform calibration of RF and electronic equipment, battery chargers/analysers, and air data test sets using approved procedures and best metrology practices.
Ensure accurate completion of calibration certificates and records.
Participate in UKAS and accreditation audits to uphold quality standards.
Diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration, ensuring it meets required standards before re-calibration.
Perform Repair to the component level, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
